Financial Consulting & Development
Duties: Under general direction, the applicant must be able to work independently, reliably, and must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of clients' financial circumstances, current provision and future aims; analyze information and prepare plans best suited to individual clients' requirements;
  • Research the marketplace and provide clients with information on new and existing products and services;
  • Travel to Persian Gulf countries to meet with prospective clients, conduct promotional activities, and coordinate development of programs;
  • Estate, Gift and Trust Tax Return Preparation
  • Research and investigate available investment opportunities to determine whether they fit into financial plans;
  • Assist clients to make informed decisions;
  • Research the marketplace and provide clients with information on new and existing products and services;
  • Promote and sell financial products to meet given or negotiated sales targets;
  • Liaise with head office and financial services providers;
  • Communicate with other professionals, such as estate agents, solicitors and valuers;
  • Maintain up to date with financial products and legislation;
  • Prepare financial reports;
  • Contact clients with news of new financial products or changes to legislation that may affect their savings and investments;
  • Analyze financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies for meeting clients' financial objectives;
  • Implement financial planning recommendations or refer clients to someone who can assist them with plan implementation;
  • Contact clients and set up meetings, either within an office environment or in clients' homes or business premises;
  • Conduct seminars or workshops on financial planning topics, such as retirement planning, estate planning, or the evaluation of severance packages;
  • Review and respond to clients changing needs and financial circumstances;

  • Minimum Education Requirements:
    Bachelor’s degree is highly recommended but not required. Diploma or certificate in a technical school or college may be substituted equally for the university bachelor’s degree.

    Experience Requirements:
    Any combination of education and experience that can demonstrate competent knowledge of the job duties and responsibilities of the position. Five years minimum work experience in the field or equivalent is required. Work experience in Persian Gulf countries is highly preferable, particularly working with Persian Gulf clients.

    Language Requirements:
    Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

    Cultural Knowledge and Awareness:
    Bi-cultural knowledge and understanding of customs and traditions, and business etiquette in Persian Gulf countries.

    Computer Skills Requirements:
    Advanced computer skills in Windows, MS Word, Excel, Office, and Power Point.

    Compensation:
    Compensation is commensurate with education and work experience.

    Other Requirements:
    Applicant must have a California Driver’s License, a reliable motor vehicle, and auto insurance at time of hire. Must be willing to travel overseas (Persian Gulf countries) for extended periods of time.
